Where Every Pet Deserves VIPaw Service.
Exclusively owned and operated by a husband-and-wife team, servicing Northern NJ. Our mission is deeply rooted in our own personal experience. Every visit, every walk, and every moment of care is guided by the love and attention we once longed for but didn’t find. We promise to provide compassionate, attentive, and honest care—prioritizing safety, comfort, and trust with the same heartfelt commitment we wished someone had shown ours.
We’re Here Because
We Know How It Feels.
Wags & Woof began after a loss that forever changed the way we see pet care. We trusted. We hoped. We believed our pet would be safe—and when that trust was broken, the grief that followed was overwhelming. The guilt, the questions, the ache of wondering what we could have done differently stayed with us long after. It was a pain we never expected, and one we wouldn’t wish on anyone.
In the quiet aftermath, we realized that not all pet care is created equal.
We know that feeling you carry when you pause before walking out the door. The way your heart tightens as you hand over the leash, the routine, the life you’ve built with your pet. We know what it’s like to step away from your day, from your responsibilities, and place your entire heart into someone else’s hands—hoping it will be treated with the same care, urgency, and love you would give yourself.
That lived experience is the foundation of Wags & Woof.
Every visit, every walk, every moment of care is shaped by what we once needed and didn’t receive. We move slower. We pay closer attention. We show up with intention, respect, and a deep understanding that your pet isn’t just part of your life—they are your life.
With Wags & Woof, we promise to care with the utmost importance, holding their safety, comfort, and trust as carefully as we once hoped someone would hold ours.
Paws & Questions
-
Every pet is unique, and some need a little extra time and patience to feel comfortable. We take things slow—allowing them to approach us at their own pace, offering gentle reassurance, and observing their body language. We always start with a free meet-and-greet (or two) so both pets and their humans can get to know us in a calm, low-pressure environment.

Yes. Our experience with rescues, senior pets, and special-needs companions comes not just from our work, but from our lives—our own special-needs dog has taught us patience, understanding, and the joy of celebrating every little victory. Caring for these pets is truly a privilege, and they always hold a special place in our hearts.

We know how much peace of mind it brings. Every visit is more than care—it’s a moment to connect. We share photos of tail wags to little notes about naps, playtime, or walks—it’s our way of keeping you close, even when you’re not home.
-
Our favorite way to bond with a new pet is to let them set the pace. Often, the smallest moments—like a gentle scratch behind the ears, a slow walk together, or simply sitting nearby while they relax—become the foundation of a lasting bond.

Yes, and we take it seriously. Beyond the paperwork, every visit is handled with responsibility, compassion, and a commitment to making your pet feel loved and secure.
